Simultaneously, we strive to return the favor to nature in the best possibleway- by constant care and its preservation. Our vision is to become a regional leader inproduction and export. We want to remain highly ranked in the regional and European market by delivering quality products, complying with a responsible production process and international standards.

HISTORYHI

HI Destilacija Teslić was built and started working way back in 1896. It was the first factory in the region to process wood by dry distillation. With its establishment, our industry has introduced innovation and the spirit of progress, and itsfounding led to theformation of city Teslić. We are proud of our long and rich tradition as well as the fact that we are still working despite facing many challenges and difficulties.

ENVIROMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Destilacija Teslić is a symbol of a successfu land long – term cooperation between man and nature. For over 120 years we have been cooperating with nature by respecting and perserving our environment. Our products are of natural origin. The basic raw material that our products consist of is wood. We procure wood responsibly, taking care not to contribute to the increasingly common practice of irresponsible deforestation. For this reason we own and FSC certificate which guarantees that our wood originates from forests that are managed in a sustainableway and that are continuously renewed.

WOOD CHARCOAL

Charcoal is produced by the dry distillation process of deciduous tree species. We process oak, beech and hornbeam in a vertical retort and modern horizontal stoves. We annually produce about 14,000 tons of charcoal and more than 4,000 tons of charcoal dust, which we process into briquettes. Our charcoal is of high quality, it quickly turns into embers and releases large amounts of heat. It is used in the ferro-alloy industry (reducer), chemical industry (activated carbon production) and household (grill).

VINEGAR

Acetic acid, or acetic acid, is also obtained by dry distillation of wood. Although today only 10% of the world’s acetic acid production is obtained biologically, our tradition and mission are products of natural origin. It is healthier, more durable, and the production process is environmentally friendly. The high quality and durability of our acetic acid ensures high market demand both in households, as a food product, and in industrial producers, for further processing. Meets the regulations of the European standard EN 13189, quality for food use, but also the technical quality of consumer requirements.
